Victoria had a tourism expenditure of $20.7 billion in the year ending June 2022*, which is a 62% increase over the previous fiscal period. The 2020/21 period was heavily impacted due limited travel with restrictions. Domestic spending for 2021/22 accounted for $18.1 billion of the $20.7 billion.

Overall spending is now at 67 percent of pre-pandemic levels, with 2023 looking promising.
