The landmark Links House Hotel in the NSW Southern Highlands has been listed for sale, tapping into the strong performance of drive tourism markets.
CBRE Hotels has been exclusively appointed to sell the freehold going concern interest in the popular Bowral property via an Expressions of Interest campaign.
The boutique hotel is situated 90-minutes-drive from Sydney on an expansive 5,321sqm freehold land parcel adjacent to the Bowral Golf Club.
Originally constructed in 1928, the well-appointed hotel features 17 guest rooms of various configurations, each with a unique design and décor. The property also features substantial guest amenities, including the fine dining Ethos restaurant, a guest lounge with an open fireplace, and extensive event facilities, making it suitable for full-service weddings, functions, conferences and retreats.
“With opportunities to acquire accommodation assets in the prestigious and tightly held Bowral market rarely available, we expect the campaign to attract strong interest from a variety of buyer groups,” CBRE Hotels’ Associate Director Hayley Manvell said.
“Bowral is one of the most scenic and popular regional tourism destinations in the country and benefits significantly from its location at the geographic halfway point between Sydney and Canberra.”
The Southern Highlands region has been a major beneficiary of the New South Wales tourism drive market renaissance, with visitation to the area increasing by more than 50% since 2014.
Ms Manvell noted, “The hotel has a number of diverse income streams, including accommodation, food and beverage and events, including wedding services, functions, conferences and retreats, and there is potential to reposition the hotel's experiential offering to provide for potential revenue enhancement opportunities.”
The freehold going concern interest in Links House Hotel is being sold via an Expressions of Interest campaign closing July 14, 2022 (unless sold prior).
