“Being one of Taree's best motels with excellent ratings, it repeatedly attracts salespeople and contractors because it offers great comfort and service. It also has beautifully landscaped grounds, an inground pool area and the restaurant which can be easily operational again.”

Taree is the centre of the Manning Valley and a great base from which to explore the wonderful beaches and national parks of the Barrington Coast. 

With a population of 26,000, it is a vibrant small city with first-class facilities. There is the exceptional Manning Regional Art Gallery, and the Manning Entertainment Centre, a 505-seat theatre that attracts leading Australian talent. 

The Manning Aquatic Centre offers indoor and outdoor swimming, and around the city there are five excellent golf courses.

Manning River Aero Club provides scenic flights of the lush mountains and majestic coastline. 

Nature lovers have an abundance of delights.

The Coopernook State Forest, just north of Taree, has a peaceful camping and picnic area surrounded by tall gums.

At Coocumbac Island, in the middle of the Manning River, visitors can explore a pristine subtropical rainforest, and at Brimbin Nature Reserve, 9km north of Taree, kayaks glide among mangrove-lined waterways and follow riverside trails to picnic areas. 

The spectacular Ellenborough Falls, the tallest single drop waterfall in NSW, are just an hour’s drive north of Taree.

Taree also has a number of delightful cafes and restaurants, boutique shops and arcades and two large shopping centres. Just 9km away is the riverside heritage town of Wingham, known for its fresh local produce. And the lovely, secluded beaches of Old Bar, are only a few minutes away by car.

Taree is less than a four-hour drive north of Sydney, and is also serviced by the Taree Airport.
