CRE Brokers has completed the sale of ULTIQA Village Resort, Port Macquarie, marking a significant accommodation and tourism property transaction within one of New South Wales’ most established coastal tourism markets.
Located at 288 Hastings River Drive, Port Macquarie, the resort occupies approximately 4.66 hectares and comprises 32 fully self-contained three-bedroom bungalows, each featuring full kitchen and laundry facilities, spacious lounge and dining areas and private veranda’s.
The accommodation is positioned around an impressive one-hectare private tropical lagoon, creating a distinctive resort environment within easy reach of Port Macquarie’s town centre, beaches and major visitor attractions.
The sale was handled by CRE Brokers’ Darren Leaney.
The property was sold on behalf of vendors Michael Craig Brereton and Sean Magnus Wengel, with Canmara Pty Ltd securing the property.
The resort offers an extensive range of guest facilities including an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, tennis courts, mini golf, BBQ areas and games rooms, positioning the property strongly within the family and leisure accommodation market.
CRE Brokers said the transaction reflected continued demand for substantial regional accommodation assets offering scale, established tourism fundamentals and opportunities for future repositioning and growth.
CRE Brokers’ Darren Leaney said buyer demand across the accommodation sector remained exceptionally strong.
“We are currently seeing record demand for motels and caravan parks across a very broad range of prices and locations, from buyers with the means to proceed to settlement,” Mr Leaney said.
“Simply stated, this is being driven by a scarcity of accommodation business assets.”
“ULTIQA Village Resort represented a genuinely unique accommodation asset, combining a significant landholding, extensive guest facilities and a strong position within the Port Macquarie tourism market,” CRE Brokers said.
“Opportunities of this scale within established coastal destinations are increasingly difficult to secure, and the campaign demonstrated the continued appetite for quality accommodation and tourism property across regional Australia.”
Port Macquarie remains one of the leading visitor destinations on the NSW North Coast, supported by a strong domestic leisure market, established events calendar and year-round visitor economy.
Port Macquarie-Hastings attracts approximately 1.8 million visitors annually, generating around $759 million in tourism expenditure, while the broader NSW North Coast remains one of the state’s strongest regional tourism markets.
CRE Brokers thanked Michael Craig Brereton and Sean Magnus Wengel for entrusting the company with the sale and acknowledged Canmara Pty Ltd for its professional approach throughout the transaction.
The sale adds to a growing number of significant accommodation and hospitality transactions completed by CRE Brokers during 2026 and further demonstrates the company’s specialist expertise across resorts, motels, caravan parks, hotels and tourism assets throughout Australia.
