In the gorgeous little waterside Tasmanian town of Rosevears, the local hotel has become an iconic and highly profitable landmark.
John Blacklow from Knight Frank has sold more than 400 pubs over the last 40 years and says the Rosevears is “ probably one of the best I’ve ever marketed – it’s just sensational.”
It’s a landmark property in a magnificent location along the western bank of the glorious Tamar estuary.
The Tamar is at the heart of Northern Tasmania and the Rosevears Hotel has long been a favourite of Tamar Valley locals who for generations have relaxed in the peaceful atmosphere of its stunning waterfront position.
The property has all the ambience of an historic country pub with modern, sophisticated amenities that include a wonderful selection of food, wine and modern waterfront accommodation.
The Rosevears offers a variety of dining options, several function areas and 28 modern hotel rooms, all with private balconies and water views.
Rosevears is a small rural community about 22 kilometres north-west of Launceston.
Mr Blacklow said the Rosevears Hotel did a roaring trade and its new bakery drew a constant stream of patrons from Rosevears and the nearby town of Legana. It’s 80-space carpark was often overflowing, especially at weekends with family groups and tours regularly arriving.
“The hotel rooms are very up market and virtually new having only been completed in 2017,” Mr Blacklow said.
“The bar, dining and outdoor deck areas have all been substantially refurbished and the bakery that was added a couple of years ago is proving a huge drawcard.
“The property has viewing platforms and an entertainment marquee. It’s very well diversified with additional incomes from bakery, beverage and food trade and it’s the only property of that kind in the area.
“It’s one of Tasmania’s most successful hospitality enterprises and there is still plenty of upside in terms of growth and profitability.
“It’s a fantastic place and it represents a significant opportunity to own and operate a business with first class facilities.”
Views over the river add to the ambience of the bright, modern, well-appointed public areas in the hotel, including the public bar and lounge bar, two dining rooms, and a substantial deck.
The commercial kitchen and hotel reception area and office are perfectly fit for purpose.
The Rosevears is surrounded by other attractions that ensure the motel rooms always have high occupancy rates.
Only a short drive from the property is the Tasmanian Zoo with 100 different species including an American alligator, meerkats, cotton-eared marmosets, penguins and of course the voracious Tasmanian Devils.
A short drive north from Rosevears takes visitors to the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre.
