On the market for $16.2 million: A record price tag for motel & conference centre in ‘booming’ western Queensland

One of Australia’s biggest and best regional accommodation and convention facility properties is making its market debut with a price tag of $16.2 million, notching up a record for its western Queensland location.

ResortBrokers Managing Director Trudy Crooks, South-West Queensland Broker Jason Vogler, and ResortBrokers Chairman Ian Crooks are selling, by Private Treaty, the Roma Explorers Inn which boasts a net profit of $1.58 million.

Ms Crooks says the sale represents the largest in the region and the exceptional yield follows the upward trajectory of other ResortBrokers’ sales in western Queensland.

“This large-scale property on 4.43ha with multiple income streams is a trophy asset with no money to spend. It is rare for a regional motel to have so many rooms and the 89 on offer appeal to both the corporate and leisure market,” she said.
