Popular Hervey Bay Resort finally on market after 7 years

With an unusually large 2-bed managers’ apartment and a cracking track record of consistent bookings, this is the first time the $2m Bay Apartments property has been listed in seven years.

The Bay Apartments have a record of high occupancy rates over the last few years and the building is known as a top accommodation choice for guests in Hervey Bay. This has managers around Australia eyeballing the high profile listing.

The property is listed with Australian Resort Management Sales, and ARMS reports that the existing managers have a solid relationship with the body corporate, currently living off-site with body corp approval. The property’s letting pool is also in an enviable state, with almost all apartments either refurbished or with refurb approval.

The property reports long-term admin and housekeeping staff who are loyal to the building. Facilities in the resort include: swimming pool and barbecue, spa and sauna, gym and tennis court.

In total, the Hervey Bay region offers 177 accommodation options and food services, employing 9.6 percent of Hervey Bay’s 56,830 residents. Domestic visitors can easily reach the area via Hervey Bay Airport, and international visitors can simply fly into Brisbane Airport and catch a connecting flight.

International visitors from select countries will soon have the option to fly into the Sunshine Coast airport, with the federal government having approved a $181 million concessional loan for a new runway and terminal at Sunshine Coast Airport, allowing a $347 million international airport to be built over the next four years.

The region enjoys warm temperatures throughout the year, with cooler evenings in the winter months. The area welcomes tourists throughout each season, and experiences particularly busy periods over the summer months and various state school holiday weeks.

Throughout the year, the region welcomes an estimated 1.4 million combined overnight domestic and international guests
