Management Rights for Sale in Bribie Island

Bribie Island is one of three islands on the north coast of Moreton Bay in Queensland, and boasts sandy beaches and dunes, an abundance of wildlife, areas for swimming and surfing, and a range of tourist activities. The island is made up of over 55 square kilometres of national park land, a marine park called the Pumicestone Passage, as well as areas of residential, commercial and tourism infrastructure.

A bridge connects Bribie Island to the mainland, making it one of the country’s most easily accessible islands by car. Domestic visitors travelling by plane can fly into the Sunshine Coast Airport, which is just over 90 minutes from the island, and International visitors can fly into Brisbane airport which is an hour and 50-minute drive.

Some of the popular activities that draw guests to the island include four-wheel-driving, hiking, skydiving, and water activities such as jet skiing, swimming, surfing, boating, and fishing. Guests enjoy getting up close with wildlife, with the calm waters around the island providing a peaceful playground for animals such as dugongs, dolphins and turtles, and the national parks providing a safe natural environment for over 300 species of birds. Guided tours and dolphin cruises provide guests with the opportunity to see and learn about wildlife up close, while other guests may be fortunate enough to experience chance encounters.

Bribie Island has a subtropical climate, and experiences very warm summers and comfortable winters. Weather patterns in the area are relatively predictable, making peak periods especially busy, and repeat bookings common.

Bribie Island is equipped for a diverse range of travellers, whether guests are looking for camping or cabin style accommodation, luxury resorts and hotels, serviced apartments, or backpacking hostels. It has a total of 43 accommodation options and food services, which employ 8.9 percent of the 18,200 residents that call the island home.

For those travelling with a 4-wheel-drive, camping is a popular option, and can be done at Poverty Creek, Ocean Beach or Gallagher Point on the island, while families tend to choose self-catered options such as apartments and cabins.
