JLL are proud to announce the successful sale of the Malpass Hotel in Home Hill after 15 years under the same stewardship.
The large and historic two storey hotel is a majestic local icon and overlooks the main road north and south between Townsville and the southern regions of the State. The imposing property was first opened in 1924 by local identity Joseph Malpass, and while having had many publicans over the years, it is in its 99th years that it farewells Phil Campling and Sandra Morton, and welcomes Lilibeth Myles and her partners into its next phase of life.
The Malpass Hotel has been enjoying some of the best trading performance for years, and Lilibeth is certainly taking on a pub enjoying substantial growth. Phil Campling notes; “We have worked hard to make this the best pub around, and it’s great to see it going to such enthusiastic and motivated people as Lilibeth and her team”.
Mark Walsh of JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group who brokered the sale commented “I love these beautiful and traditional hotels, and its great not only seeing Phil and his partners making such a success of the operation, it’s also great to see it move into the hands of good people”.
The settlement concluded on the 27th of April with the final sale price remaining confidential
The deal again adds further weight following the record year for JLL Hotels facilitating over 80 transactions through its national platform and pushing total deal volume close to $1.3 billion for the 2022 calendar year, with 2023 continuing in a similar vein.
